Mars Brownies
October 11, 2012
Ingredients
12 mini Mars or 4 regular sized
200g butter
3/4 cup dark chocolate
3/4 milk chocolate
1 cup castor sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cocoa powder
3 eggs
Instructions
1) Preheat oven to 170'c and grease and line a brownie pan with baking paper
2) Divide the mars into 2 groups. Slice half of them and chop small the other half
3) Add the chopped pieces into a big bowl together with cubed butter, dark chocolate and milk chocolate. Microwave for about 2.5 minutes, stirring halfway through
4) Leave to cool for a few minutes then sift in the sugar, baking powder, flour and cocoa powder. Mix until combined
5) Crack in the eggs and mix gently until well combined
6) Fold in the sliced Mars and pour into the tin. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until a pick comes out clean
7) Let it cool to room temp completely and refrigerate for about 1-2 hours before cutting. I find brownies taste best when they've cooled down, they're more......fudgy. :)
