Honey Soy Garlic Chicken

Ingredients
1/2 kg of chicken wings
2 tbsp cornstarch
1tsp black pepper
1 small red shallot, minced
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tsp of ginger, minced
1/2 cup of light sweet soy sauce
1 tsp honey
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp brown sugar
White sesame seeds for garnishing
Instructions
1) Pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel. Coat with cornstarch and black pepper. Deep fry for about 10 minutes and drain the excess oil
2) In a different pan, saute the minced shallot, garlics and ginger until fragrant
3) Add in the mixture of soy sauce, honey, garlic powder and brown sugar and leave to simmer
4) In the meantime, deep fry the chicken wings again for another 5 minutes and drain the excess oil
5) In a small bowl, mix 1 tsp of cornstarch with the soy garlic sauce, and add into the rest of the sauce in the pan. Mix well
6) Add in the fried chicken wings and coat them well with the sauce. Garnish with white sesame seeds and eat while they're hot!
