2 garlic cloves
1 egg, whisked
1 tbsp Worcertershire sauce
2 tsp Tabasco sauce
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
Salt and black pepper to taste
Burger buns
Sliced fresh white mushrooms (optional)
Cheese of your choice
Instructions
1) Cut the yellow onion in half. One half for the beef, one half for caramelising.2) Chop small one half of the onion and garlic. Add everything in a big bowl including the salt and pepper. Mix well with clean hands
3) Form 4 identical sized patties to match your bun size and refrigerate for 30 mins.
4) Slice the other half of the onion and caramelise on an oiled grill pan for about 15-20 minutes. Keep stirring to avoid them from burning. Set aside.
5) Saute the sliced mushrooms with some butter. Set aside.
6) In the same grill, grill the patties for 8 - 10 mins on each side until they get a nice char. Before turning the heat off place cheese slices on top of the patties for about a minute.
7) Serve on buttered and toasted buns, caramelised onions, mushrooms or other veggies and sauces of your choice.
