Sambal Tumis Ikan Bilis

Ingredients
5 bawang merah
4 ulas bawang putih
1/2 bawang kuning besar
1 cup raw ikan bilis
1 cup lada blend
1 cup water
1 inci belacan
1 tsp asam jawa + 1/2 cup water
1 tbsp sugar
Sugar and salt to taste
Instructions
1) Panaskan about 1/4 cup of oil and tumis bawang merah and bawang putih until slightly garing
2) Masukkan lada blend, belacan and the 1 tbsp of sugar. Goreng for about 10 minutes until garing
3) Masukkan ikan bilis, air and air asam jawa. Turn the heat down to low to medium and leave to simmer for about 15 minutes
4) Add in the sliced big onions. Salt and sugar to taste. Always put the salt in last because sometimes the ikan bilis alone would be salty enough. Stir well and tutup api

akak, ikan bilis kena goreng dulu takk?
ReplyDeleteI've tried making both. And I think kalau x goreng dulu lagi sedap. Rasa ikan bilis tu lagi strong :)
